Conserve Big Bend
Conserve Big Bend will be this year’s Marfa 100k donation recipient. The Big Bend is a wild place, to live and to ride. It’s our privilege to share the space and our responsibility to safeguard it.
Conserve Big Bend is a non-profit organization located in the Big Bend Region with their primary campaign being “No Big Bend Wall.” No Big Bend Wall (NBBW) is a community coalition focused on public education, transparency in federal decision-making, cultural and environmental resource protection, landowner rights, and due process in response to the proposed wall in Big Bend. They are a fast-growing, advocacy-focused group with a diverse range of stakeholders including landowners, conservationists, tour guides and river outfitters, archaeologists, artists, park enthusiasts, policy experts, and more.
Our donation page will remain open until October 17 with all donations going directly to Conserve Big Bend Click the button below to donate:

The Area
Located in the Chihuahuan desert, Marfa is a small town within a large and unique landscape. The ride takes you out and back on a beautiful, low-traffic road which cuts through rolling ranch land, offering views of the Chinati Mountains in the distance and cactus, wildflowers and high-plains grassland in the foreground. The town of Marfa is unique, bringing together local ranchers with a high-profile art scene that attracts international tourists. From art, to landscape, to delicious food, there is something for everyone to enjoy in Marfa.
October, is a pleasant autumn month in Marfa, with average temperature varying between 53°F and 73°F.
The nights can get very cold here so plan accordingly!
The Race
Riders will race to complete a 100km (~62miles) out-and-back on beautiful Ranch Road 2810. With around 3000’ feet of elevation gain this race is as challenging as it is beautiful. The race is electronically timed and aid stations are every 10 miles.
The 50k fun-ride is back this year for those who want to enjoy the scenery without completing the full distance. We will again be allowing e-bikes on the 50k fun-ride.
